transmission UH Galleries, Art and Design Gallery, College Lane, Hatfield 17 – 27 July 2007 Private View: Tuesday 17 July, 6-8pm Gallery Opening Times: Monday to Saturday, 9.30am – 4.30pm The students of the MA Fine and Applied Arts Practice programme of the University of Hertfordshire present transmission, an exhibition dedicated to the exploration of materials and process and their application in contemporary art practice. The MA programme is concerned with the exploration of the boundaries between the fine and applied arts, photography, performance and digital media. The works on show reflect the current ideas of the artists as they become more focused in their practice. As a result of ongoing research, practical work and critical debate, the group continues to explore both the diversity of and the shared experience inherent in working across a broad range of disciplines.
